Note

Important to note may be the rough production of these songs, hah, afterall I just put them together with a couple (or one in the event of them being purely acoustic) of tracks of wave recorder software. The quality of my hardware (musical instruments, microphones and amplification) may not be considered top-notch aswell, and is likely to be frowned upon at best by rockstar wannabe snobs.. and regular rockstar snobs I suppose. In the unsorted category are even sloppier songs. Oddities and unfinished improvisations of years past that might be fun to hear. So far I've only got acoustic and semi-acoustic tunes here, but next up is a folksy, hard-rock 'n roll happening that will have some electrics and hopefully more edgy drumming and vocals. Should be fun now that I know a bit more about recording and what I need to make it happen the way I intend.

Unsorted

Homecoming
(I. Key)

From my current work in progress 'There's Oatmeal in My Worms'.. but then played on the acoustic guitar, quickly and without looking back.

A Look at the Future
(I. Key)

And another one, also made with two recording layers - both with vocals and guitar. I was originally considering this as an instrumental, but the vocal melodies were too enticing and simple. Simple is good for this project, which would explain the short 'n punchy content.

Going to the Ground
(I. Key)

Minimalist extra of the Dead Rat sessions, a bit of a storyline tie-up where protagonist 99 first confronts himself with his fate and then presents his case to his 'friend' - the human species.

Invisible Movement
(J. Frusciante)

Favorite song of the 'Only Water' album. I was a little bit surprised when I accidentily managed to play it, I guess it had subconciously implanted itself in my playing (though I suppose it's quite likely my notes and chords are off by small margins). When recording the song I tilted my chair back at the choruses to keep the volume levels in line.

No Good Trying
(S. Barrett)

The ultra-fast cover version, I cut 2 minutes at least. And what do I have to show for it? Not much, but it's pretty funny.

Sever Me
(I. Key)

Dead Rat reject song, but it's a song that amuses me. I revisited it after I finished up the stuff and added in the "left out" third part, that I actually hadn't written at all originally.

Corner
(I. Key)

Another reject, but from a previous project. There's nice percussion, but that's pretty much it. It's about a snail.. I suppose my subject matter might appear extremely silly to most people.

Plateau
(Curt Kirkwood)

Favorite Meat Puppets tune, along with such wonders as Animal Kingdom, Evil Love and all those good songs of old. I hope I've done it at least a little bit of justice.

Gouge Away
(B. Francis)

Obligatory Pixies cover done in low-key acoustics, before I actually knew how to play the song. Sure, I could do a more accurate rendition now, but what fun would that be? This is more in the spirit of random DIY wreckage.
